Infrastructure firm Costain has been awarded work to shave off up to £750million from the total cost Pale Blue Dot Energy’s clean energy development in Aberdeenshire known as Acorn. The work will focus on re-using existing pipeline infrastructure from the Shell-operated Goldeneye field to transport captured CO2 form St Fergus gas terminal 101KM offshore and then store the gas safely and permanently 2km below the sea bed.
