Sustainable Scotland Conference 2025 on Green Skills and Energy Transition

November 19, 2025 @ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

NECCUS CEO, Dr Philippa Parmiter, is delighted to be speaking at the upcoming annual Sustainable Scotland
Conference presented by The Scotsman on our White Paper – The Voice of the Supply Chain.

As Scotland accelerates its transition to net zero, the development of a skilled, adaptable workforce has never been more critical. The Scotsman’s Green Skills Conference 2025, taking place in Aberdeen, will bring together industry leaders, educators, policymakers, and innovators to explore how collaboration can drive a just transition and unlock the full potential of the green economy.

This year’s event opens with a keynote panel reflecting on progress 12 months after Scotland’s Green Skills Action Plan, featuring senior representatives from government, education, and energy. Subsequent discussions will examine how to align skills training with emerging needs in renewables, hydrogen, offshore wind, and low-carbon manufacturing. Speakers from organisations including NESCol, Shell UK and ETZ Hub will join leading voices from industry and academia to discuss bridging gaps between education and employment, supporting local talent pipelines, and fostering innovation across the energy transition.
