NECCUS supporter, Professor Mercedes Maroto-Valer of Heriot-Watt University is awarded a £20m grant by UK Research and Innovation to develop a new centre to help drive forward the delivery of the UK’s industrial decarbonisation programme. Commenting on her appointment, she said, ‘Moving to a low-carbon future is one of the greatest challenges facing the world. I’m excited to be taking on this responsibility and I’m confident we can do this. We have to be successful.’
